Thank you very much for your interest in the Baskerville Arms Hotel, you may be unaware that the business changed ownership only in the last few days after many years under the stewardship of the Slade family. We are rapidly juggling the many tasks essential to an orderly handover and whilst things are mostly progressing smoothly, there are bound to be some hiccups. I sincerely hope they will go unnoticed but if not, I apologise in advance.
We are working on updating our website so please bear with us.
We have large and exciting plans for the Baskerville with substantial changes to the rooms and common parts. The business, originally an important coaching inn, has a terrific history and we look forward to revitalising and re-establishing it as an essential part of a truly wonderful community in a beautiful region.
In the meantime, I ask for your understanding. We are still very much finding our feet and getting into the swing of things as we come out of the winter season. As a result, we are remaining open but maintaining slightly shorter hours which are still very much in flux but usually you will find us open at 5pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays and from 12pm on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
We have inherited a wonderful, hardworking team who are rising to the challenge of taking our business forward. Menus are evolving and in the interim, our chefs continue to produce some terrific dishes with the vast majority of our suppliers within a small, local radius. The countryside is spectacular, Hay is on the doorstep and if you are in the bar, we defy you to meet a friendlier group of locals.
I hope you come and see us to witness our evolution
With our best wishes,
The Corley family
